The office Arata Isozaki & Andrea Maffei Associati started in january 2005, after a long collaboration from 1997, to develop new projects in Italy. After the construction of the Torino Ice Hockey Stadium for the Olympics Winter Games 2006, the office wins the Citylife competition for a 202m high skysceaper and housing complex in the Milano old Fiera district. In the meantime many projects and competitions are developed, including the Bologna new station, the new Bergamo Provincia headquarter and the new Maranello library. The office is located in the center of Brera district, in the center of Milano, close to the famous Pinacoteca Museum and the most important art galleries.
